Corona-Virus or COVID-19 (name coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19) is a group of related viruses that cause diseases in animals. In humans, coronaviruses cause respiratory tract kind of infections that can be mild like a common cold, bronchitis, pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome(SAAS), etc.
In the last 70 years, scientists found that it can infect bats, mice, rats, dogs, cats, turkeys, horses, pigs, and cattle and can be transmitted to humans.
What is a Corona-Virus?
Scientists first found a coronavirus in 1937 which is responsible for an infectious bronchitis virus in birds.
In the human first case of coronaviruses (HCoV) is in the 1960s.
Coronavirus’s name comes from its crown-like projections on surfaces. “Corona” in Latin means “halo” or “crown.”
It commonly occurs during the winter months and early spring. And caused common illness with a cold.

Symptoms of COVID-19
Symptoms for COVID-19 vary from person-to-person. It may produce few or no symptoms. Common symptoms include:
It may take up to 2–14 days for a person to notice symptoms after getting an infection.
No vaccine is currently available for this. However, scientists have now replicated the virus.
The highest risk of developing complications due to COVID-19 include:

- people aged 65 years or older
- women who are pregnant
General symptoms of coronaviruses
Symptoms usually set in from 2–4 days after infection and are typically mild. However, some symptoms vary from person-to-person, and some forms of the virus can be fatal.

What can We do to avoid COVID-19:
- Avoid large events and crowded places.
- Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick or has any flu symptoms.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Cover your mouth or nose with your elbow or tissue when you sneeze.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Clean and disinfect surfaces you often touch daily.

Friends, till now, no one has not been able to find a definite solution to save us from the corona pandemic, neither has a vaccine been developed. In such a situation, it is very natural to get worried. All Government’s constantly keeping a close look on this situation, and track record for corona although there are a few countries which have controlled the situation by taking swift decisions and isolating its people as much as possible.
